Hi guys.. My hard drive stopped working about two months ago.. My computer would not detect it.. I've taken it to three engineers to help me save my files from the hard drive. They all said their computer could not not detecting it.. Please, is there anything that can be done? It contains my life work, and I do not have a back up.. It's a transcend, I bought it about 16 months ago.. It didn't fall, no virus. It just stopped working, it was making some beep sound. I didn't pay attention to it. I need an assurance..
Thank you

highhillsadeojo , as a suggestion, do not tinker too much with the drive as it could further damage the data contained on it. Sorry to hear that you do not have your info backed up. For future reference use these tips.

Basically you want:

3 copies of any data you don't want to lose
2 different mediums it's stored on
1 copy kept offsite, to prevent against disaster.

Best of luck.
