Question Concerning reading on XTU

Hi there,

First post on here, first proper pc built myself and wanted to check out underclocking my super hot 13900k. On launch of XTU the readings are fine like in the first photo but after say 10-20 mins the readings go haywire like the second picture..Is my CPU going to die?

that is pretty odd. obviously it's not using a billion watts.

what do the temps look like after 30 mins of gaming or similar? that's really what you need to keep an eye on.

Yeah its still sitting at 40 odd when playing destiny 2 etc. Just those readings seemed super confusing

that's very good temps for that cpu. have you checked with other monitoring software to see about power usage and such? perhaps something else will give you better data to work with.

but honestly so long as the temps stay in check, which is your main goal here, i'd not worry to much about a buggy software

Yeah i made sure to check the Pcores and Ecores in HWmonitor as well and it maxs at 50 underload any other non buggy programs i should look into potentially to help monitor the temps?

hwmonitor/hwinfo is pretty much the only one i use. it's not failed me so i never bothered looking for another one.

Appreciate that so much. Just dropped alot into the machine and didnt quite fancy having a nuclear reactor going off beside me.
