So basically hear me out I want to record a game on the ps5, but cause of the watermark on some games, i decided another approach to record it:
I have a PS5, a PC, a laptop, video card number one which is like a cheap one and video card number two which is the elgato HD 60s and basically I will connect my PS5 like the HDMI cable from the PS5 into the input port of the elgato and I will connect my monitor to the output port of the elgato and I will insert the USB of course into the elgato and into the PC.
Now the problem is I have no monitor for my PC and I thought of this solution and I want you to tell me if it's feasible or not, so here me out. I have this video capture card that I mentioned which is the number one, a cheap one, and I was wondering if I could plug that video card into the USB port of my laptop. After I have that in my laptop I take another HDMI cable and put that into the capture card and I connect it to the HDMI port of my PC so my PC is the monitoring device for the Elgato, but I can't see you know and I thought that using the laptop will allow me to see my PC. now here's the big question:
If I'm monitoring the elgato on my pc and the pc on my laptop screen, will this affect the quality of the video?like my laptop is 1080p. Again I'm not recording with the laptop, I'm recording with my PC and elgato.
The laptop is literally there just so I can see what I'm doing but will this affect the quality or not that's what I'm wondering because I dont want to <Mod Edit> it up or do I need to have the same monitor as my PlayStation 5 that is connected?
