Condused about connecting a Headset to a gaming PC?

This may sound stupid but i'm not sure how to connect a Headset to a gaming PC?

plug in the headset into either a headphone port/ split it between the headphone/mic is has option. Right Click on the speaker, click playback devices on the bottom right, right click on headset and set as default, same for mic

A USB headset just plugs into a USB port. Anything using 3.5mm connectors just plugs into the audio-outs on your motherboard, sound card, or case panel. If it's a stereo headset, one plug will go into the stereo audio jack and the other into the microphone jack. The plugs should be labeled with little pictures or something.
