Hi guys, I want to buy a configurable laptop but I'm undecided which of these two sites to buy from:
  • PC Specialist
  • XMG
Do you know these two companies?
Which one do you think is the best in terms of dissipation / temperature, quality, service?
Thanks guys

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You didn't mention the budget you've set yourself with a laptop purchase. For the ones listed on PCSpecialist, the pricier version look to have beefy cooling solutions while the lower priced options seem like slimline/notebook pedigree laptops/mobile computing devices. Same observation shown on XMG's site as well.

Budget 2k

what do you think of the new pc specialist models, with intel 13 series and rtx 4000 series.
In your opinion, are they done well in terms of quality and cooling?
Is the support reliable?
thanks

Tommy, neither companies make their own laptops but rather buy bare-bones chassis from Clevo & Tongfang then configure the hardware to what the user has chosen. Therefore, the models are likely to be very similar.

Regarding support and repairs, PC Specialist is a British company while XMG is German so that may make a difference depending on what country you're in.

If you're in the UK then I can recommend PC Specialist as I've recommended them to a few of my clients and I've always been impressed with the build quality and value for money.
