Hi all, i wanted to build a new pc for gaming and a little bit of editing and the two configurations below come out. My question is, the first one is really worth it if i'm not going to overclok it? The second pc with no possibility of doing overclock will be fine as well as high end pc?

1)
MB: Gigabyte GA-Z97X gaming 5 ATX LG1150
CPU: i7 4790K 4.0 Ghz Quad core
GPU: Gforce Gigabyte GTX 970 3.5 WINDFORCE
Ram: 2 x 8 Corsair vengeance pro DDR3
Diss.: Cryorig R1 Universal
PSU: Seasonic G-series 650w
Case: Graphite Series 760T / Obsidian Series 750D airflow edition

2)
MB: Gigabyte GA-H97-HD3
CPU: Intel i7 4790
GPU: Gforce Gigabyte GTX 970 3.5 WINDFORCE
Ram: 2 x 8 Corsair vengeance pro DDR3
Diss.: Cooler master 212 evo
PSU: Seasonic G-series 550w
Case: Corsair Carbide 300r

For gaming, you won't have a difference between the two in most games. The i7 4790 is still fast for normal usage.

There is a 300€ difference between the two, actually i don't know if the gap is worth it. Thank you for replying.

If you are absolutely sure you won't be overclocking or don't want the ability to overclock and don't want the "upgraded" components such as the case in build 1 then you will be fine with build 2.

If i don't overclock both are going to have the same performance? The i7 4790k has 4 ghz, the i7 4790 3.6 ghz
I don't know what factual difference there will be.
