Confirming if motherboard is faulty

Essentially, my PC booted but didn't post. I removed a stick of RAM and it posted. Replaced that stick of RAM with the faulty one but then both sticks died and the PC continued to boot but didn't post now that the RAM died. The user in the thread was very helpful and said it was my motherboard that is faulty and killed the RAM, but I just wanted to make sure it was indeed the motherboard and not me before I take everything apart (since I didn't get a response from anyone else). The thread has more details, appreciate any help thanks! :)
