Confused about 8 pin

Hello,

I bought my PC parts today with a sapphire r9 390 and Supernova 650w. But I am confused about the cables. You need 2 8 pin connectors which I know. But you get 2 6+2 on 1 cable, can I use 1 cable to power both 8 pin connectors? Or do I need 2 cables so 1 cable can power 1 8 pin and the other 1 the other 8 pin.

Yeah you need to connect two 6+2 pin cables to the gpu. Your psu should have more than enough cables. There my also be a 4+4pin that looks exactly the same but that is for the motherboard.

Yes that should be fine. Even if you added a new cable they would all be powered from the same PSU.

Yes you can use one cable with two 6+2pins that is fine. Didn't read it properly the first time.

The 8 pin connector is usually for the motherboard (older mobo only need 1 X4)
While the 1 X6 are for GPUs
