So my motherboard broke the other week due to reasons unknown.. I predicted it was just old and its time had come.. it was showing odd signs prior.. it would fail to boot up a few times and then would successfully boot and stay on perfectly until it went into sleep mode or was shut down
Eventually it went into sleep mode and I had to turn it off and on again but it refused to come back on
So I borrowed a friends cpu and spare motherboard and this ended up having the same issue after 3 days.. I woke up to my GPU fans at 100% while my computer was asleep.. had to turn it off and back on but it has refused to boot since...the motherboard usually has red LED numbers in the bottom corner but they do not come on
I thought maybe the GPU had gone bust but it works fine in my dads rig... I thought maybe the PSU but it runs like it always has.. quite and its a corsair 500wCX.. can a psu be to blame even when its showing no signs?
Maybe is my case? I have a define R5 but I really cant see this being an issue, how would a case even cause a motherboard to break?
Im out of ideas and reasons to what the issue is.. but im worried because im gonna be spending £180 on a new cpu, Mobo and PSU next month and if it breaks again im really lost on what could be causing this issue
Could be an issue with me leaving my PC on over night and allowingit to go into sleep mode?
