Hello, I've got a problem. Currently my computer is running VERY slowly because the CPU is at a 100%. I'm using AVG currently and I scanned multiple times. I specifically scanned the Windows folder where Conhost.exe is located but no luck.
If anyone has a insight on this please let me know how to fix this.
Thanks.

I tried doing that, but I also forgot to mention that Netsh.exe is also running in the hundreds.

Netsh.exe is a command line tool, so in principle can only run if there is a command line open. It is only for ipv6 I think, so you probably don't even need it. Just end the process in task manager.

It says the handle is invalid, and doesn't end. Also there is about a hundred of them and 200 conhost

start with booting into safe mode f8 and run malware scan and anti virus scan. you may if you have a virus boot off a rescue cd to remove it. run msconfig and turn off everything but your anti virus is start up. also run a hijack this and post the log here.

Don't physically delete conhost.exe. It is required for cmd.exe to function. I assume you have tried rebooting your PC? After booting, how rapidly do these rogue processes appear in task manager? Are they there the instant the desktop has loaded?

Ok, I booted in safe mode and used the antivirus. Apparently a malware got in and was deleted, so now I'm all fine and dandy.
Thanks a lot guys.
