So recently I connected my PC to my monitor with a dvi cable and it still didn’t boot up. What cable do I need? I have a LG 22EA53 Monitor.

maybe the issue is the pc? does it work with another monitor?

And which DVI port are you plugged into? The one off the motherboard or the one from the gfx card (if present)? AS mentioned above, please list the specs of the machine.

It works with another monitor and it has been working.

Pc Specs:
1300x Ryzen (W/ stealth cooler)
Rx 580
8gb ram
A320 Gigabyte Motherboard
Cooler master case
Evga 750W gold Modular
m2 ssd 240gb

Also, I got this monitor from a friend of mines and he said I need a ‘T POWER Ac Adapter Compatible with 19V LG Electronics’ in order for the monitor to work. I’m not sure if that’s the case though, since I’ve never heard that you needed a Ac adapter in order for the monitor to work, but I am new in the PC world

How many cables and type of cables do I need to plug my monitor into my PC. I plugged the DVI cable into my pc and it still doesn’t work. I have a LG 22EA53

Then it sounds like you need the adapter, or go back to using the monitor the PC works with.

I didn't realize you meant you didn't have the monitor plugged in to electric power. I thought you just couldn't get it to produce a display. 😉
