Connect Phone to Ethernet Port?

TL;DR IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST!

So I recently bought a Netgear C6300 Modem/Router combo to replace the Modem/Router combo that Time Warner originally gave us (one of the Ubee models) and activated the new Modem/Router. What Time Warner DIDN'T tell me, however, was that by activating the new Modem they would completely deactivate the old one.

Because the C6300 doesn't have a Telephone line port, and they deactivated the old modem without letting me know, I now had a much better internet connection but would have to sacrifice the home telephone line. (This is a problem because my parent's are for some reason assertive on the point of having a telephone line even though nobody uses it). So now, with the old modem deactivated, I called Time Warner customer support and had them fix the issue.

They deactivated the C6300 and reactivated the Ubee and everything is now back to normal, except I am now sitting here with a $300 modem that I cannot use because it doesn't have a telephone port. Is there an adapter that exists where it basically allows me to plug my telephone line into an ethernet port? Or will I have to have Time Warner come to the house and put phone line jacks into the wall? When I asked the TWC support person if such an adapter exists all she said was 'you can just use the ubee for the phone and the internet' even though I told her I bought the new modem because their modem's range and connectivity is far outclassed by the C6300.

TL;DR : Is there an adapter that exists where it basically allows me to plug my telephone line into an ethernet port?

I have already tried looking this up on line but because I am super dumb when it comes to landline telephones I have no idea what any of it is telling me.

You can't use an adapter to connect a phone line to Ethernet ports.

You should be able to configure the Netgear as an access point if you are only concerned with wifi coverage. This will allow you to use both the Ubee and Netgear. I'd recommend returning the Netgear for a router-only device though, since you will potentially save money and/or end up with a better router.

As recommended, you can also go with a different telephone provider (I use Vonage). A VoIP provider will send...
