I have a windows 8.1 laptop. I work at a radio station where the network has a firewall and proxy. At home I just have a normal network setup. Unfortunately I use the same laptop for both so I am constantly having to re-enter and remove the proxy settings. Is there a simpler way to connect to multiple networks through 1 Ethernet port?

While Chrome (Firefox etc) can import proxy settings from IE, you don't have to use them - go to settings and turn them off.

You can also set up another Windows user for when you are working at home.
Can you use different browsers one with the proxy set and the other without. The company I work for uses the proxy pac files to set the proxy and it is smart enough to know when it is inside the network and out.

I am no windows expert but I know the enterprise version of software let you have different browser settings by userid so it different people using the same machine can have different settings. The home version let you have different users but I have not messed with that much.

Unfortunately i need the proxy set within windows as well for file sharing purposes. Also i believe both Chrome and IE both import proxy settings from the network properties.
