Dear.
I am new to netwroking. I have a fixed modem to which i have coonected a router. I want to provide internet to another location which is aprroximately 300 meters distance away. Kindly help me regarding this. I have lan wire and another router. What other equipment i should get in order to get the distant router working.

Solution
300 meters is beyond the distance limits for most wire type technology. Your best option if you can run a cable is a fiber connection. The price on this is way down compared to years ago. You need a couple of media converters and a fiber cable and you will get 1gbit with no issues.

If you can not run a cable your only other realistic option is to use outdoor wireless bridge equipment. You need clear line of sight between the 2 locations. At that short distance you should get pretty good speeds...a couple hundred mbit/sec with most equipment.

Standard ethernet over copper is only rated for 100m. It may work over longer distances in good conditions, but I doubt that far.

Do you have line of sight between the buildings? A directional wireless link is a pretty cheap option.

What runs between the buildings currently? Is there an open conduit, you're willing to trench, or just e.g. a buried phone line?

You could invest in a PoE switch at one end then use PoE extender boxes, they are powered by PoE, act as a pass through swicth giving you another 100m and draw some current, you can easily use 2 of these on a cable. Personally I would invest in a pair of Ubiquiti LocoM2s if you have LOS and create a wireless point to point link.
