Connected VGA cord to Graphics card but monitor not working.

I've connected the VGA cord (from Pure Power 10 500 watt) to G-Force GTX 1060 Graphics card but the monitor is not working. The external cord is attached also. Any suggestions? First time builder. Thanks!

How are you connected to a monitor? I assume the "VGA cord" you're referring to is the PCIe power cables from the PSU.

What are the rest of your specs?

Are you trying to connect your 1060 to a VGA (as in the 15 pin trapezoid shaped connector)? If so that is your problem, the 1060's DVI ports are all DVI-D, it was DVI-I and DVI-A that had the ability to also drive a VGA monitor.
