Hi,

I have windows 10 pro. I have 2 ethernet Controllers that are being used as wired connections connected to my Netgear wndr4500 v 3 router. I'm only able to use one of my Network connections at a time. I have an intel and the second is a killer. Normally the only way that I think anyways that i'm able to use both of my network controllers is if I Use the intel teaming software part. Or I right click on one and I hit Bridge and I bridge the two Ethernet controllers. Now I see this software online called Connectify Dispatch pro. I'm not really sure how it works. but it's saying that it merges your available Internet connections into 1 super fast fat pipe. Now I have one Internet account with Comcast I pay over 80 dollars a month. Will this software still work? Is there anyway that I can use both of my Network controllers at the same time? I'm assuming that Teaming does nothing? And bridging does nothing either?

Thank you for any information you can give me.

You are limited by your internet speed. Do you have 10Gigabit internet speed? If not, then nothing you do on your LAN will change your bandwidth or download speed. In fact having both ports connected could be HARMING your network performance.

Bridging would be used to turn your PC into a basic router and allow a computer to share your network connection. An ethernet switch is a better answer.
Network teaming is another term for link aggregation.

Just because a motherboard has a feature doesn't mean it is a good feature.
So are you saying that if I went out and bought a router that supports Link Aggregation would I then be able to do this? Or would I still need to pucrhcase from the cable company a second Internet connection? I'm confused as to how Connectify dispatch software works? And I see all kinds of You tube videos showing that this can be done but how come I could not do it?

I have never used the software. BUT, unless you have greater than 1Gb internet connection it won't matter. Even then, your router wouldn't support greater than 1Gb. Link aggregation is not going to benefit you.

If you are trying to something like improve your bandwidth beyond a single internet connection, that is usually more trouble than it is worth. Any single network transaction would be limited to a the speed of a single internet connection.

Okay what about Network Teaming where I choose Load balancing. Or Bridging my network controllers will that help increase my bandwidth and my download speed? And if not how come? So also what you are saying is that I would have to purchase a seperate Internet connection in order for the Connectify or speedify softwares to work correct?

Okay thank you!! I do use IP Vanish a vpn so maybe that will help somewhat. I have a 150 mb connection.

VPN should always make things slower. You are adding 20 bytes to every packet. So even if you ignore any added latency and cpu over head for the encryption you are going to get less total traffic though your connection. It really depends on what type of traffic but in general the estimate is 10% less bandwidth.

Network speed is always limited by the slowest link in the path. That means even if your PC had a 10gbit port it will never go above the 150mb speed you buy from your ISP
