Im thinking of getting a powerline adapter for my 2nd pc in another room that is currently using wifi. I have a modem/router hybrid with 4 lan ports, 1 is being used and connected to my 1st pc.
Im wondering if this connection will work: modem > powerline > powerline > pc (all via ethernet)
Ive read you need a router to connect or you cant have 2 pcs connected to modem?

Modem/Router hybrid is fine, but you will need a pair of powerline adapters, not just a single one.

One powerline adapter connected to spare LAN port on the modem/router.
Other powerline adapter connected to LAN port on PC.

I use a pair so I can use LAN port on my smart TV as getting it to connect to WiFi is a PITA.

I dont know how to reply or quote your answer and sorry for the downvote..accident.
Right so they sell them in pairs. One will be connected to the modem and the other one would be connected to the pc in the other room.
I was just wondering if both pc's will still have connection this way
