Connecting Comcast Xfiniy Gateway modem/router combos for to smart tv

After choosing Comcast Xfinity for my ISP - I'm a Streamer and won't be subscribing to Cable TV service - I plan to hardwire a compatible Gateway modem/router to an LG OLED55C7P TV although unclear as to whether I'd also need to run an HDMI cord between them. Would the aforementioned ethernet connnection make that unnecessary?

NO.

A compatible Gateway typically comes with 4 LAN ports where your TV can use 1, and that's all it needs.

Awesome... exactly what I was hoping to hear. Only thing left now, is to choose a Gateway suitable for 4k streaming + routing a Wi-Fi signal to my Galaxy s7 phone. Don't suppose it needs be that powerful given my limited requirements for a room of about 150 sq. ft. Thanks for your help.
