Im making a minecraft server network for my friends to play on, for that, ive got 2 switches, like 50 lan cables ( Not really ) and a router, ive got 1 Cat5e cable running from the router to my room, then one of the switches splitting that cable into 4 jacks: 3 for pcs and 1 for another switch, basically, i got my main Computer that i use daily for youtube, gaming and other things, and those other pcs are the servers that are going to run minecraft server software, in this case: Spigot. Today i tried to attach my moms laptop to the switch and my main pc , it did work, both pcs were connected to the internet, but at my school, you can go into other pcs, and share files with them, u can grab basically everything, documents, excel things and other c**p, but i couldnt do that with my pc and the laptop, what should i do, to allow them to connect to each other and share files ? I know, you can make a homegroup, but there you can only share the Documents folder and other small files, at my school, you can even take things from the desktop of other pcs.
