Connecting LG LED monitor to PC via HDMI help

Hi! I bought an LG 22EA55VQ-P monitor. I want to use it via HDMI cable, since my VGA supports it. Anyway, it's a Gainward GeForce GT 440. My problem is the monitor is OK with standard D-Sub cable. But when I try to use HDMI it keeps saying No Signal. No matter what I'm doing or how long I wait. Even tried to connect with both connections and try to select the wanted input with the monitor Input selection button. No success.

Any tips, helps, suggestions? Something I'm doing wrong? Perhaps I should connect my old monitor via VGA and the new one via HDMI?

are u sure the HDMI cable and the ports on both ends are fine?

No, I can't confirm nothing. The cable and the monitor is brand new.

At least somebody can tell me how should act the monitor at a normal solution, if I connect it to the PC via HDMI?

I think there is something wrong in the circuit of the new monitor, that's why its picking up the VGA signal and not the HDMI. You should talk to the vendor.
