Connecting modem directly to tv

Hi ,I’m wanting to have better internet speeds for streaming on my tv , can I get a modem with 2 LAN ports and connect my tv to one , and my router to the other ... I can barely get WiFi range in my garage , and my house is small ..
Even though I’ve tested my internet, I can barely watch a movie in 720 without it buffering

Hard-wired is always better than WIFI. Go for it. But I guarantee u nothing. As usual, you don't disclose what's your current down/up speed and what others in the household are doing.
