Connecting Molex connector to psu while pc is running

Alright. I just bought an LED light strip without checking if it is with usb connector. Im planning of sticking it behind the monitor bcoz i like playing while lights off. Problem is it's got a 4pin molex. Is it safe if I connect it to the molex connector of my psu while running? Maybe ill just slip one molex connector below the IO shield to connect it like as if it is a usb. Coz i only want to open the led when lights off not all day long. Thanks alot!!

i wouldn't really recommend it, but it's not a huge issue anyways. so, if you want to, go for it.
also, your plan at the moment is to plug it in at night and unplug every morning?
why not get like a small switch and have it either at the back or at the front of the pc?
