Question Connecting monitor via displayport or HDMI: is there a difference?

I have two monitors, one is a 1440p 144hz connected by display port and the other is a 1440p 75hz connected via HDMI 2.0

I'm wondering if I should connect the second one with displayport too or if it makes a difference if I don't? I only use the 144hz for games, the other one is just for forum browsing/youtube videos
