[SOLVED] connecting phanteks digital halo to coolermaster controller

ok guys

my phanteks digital halo have turned up but only realised the 3 holes in the plug is together but the cooler master plug is 2 pins together then another pin bit away if that makes sense.

question is how do i connect them?

Phanteks Halos Lux Digital has proprietary Phanteks connector, that will fit only into Phanteks hardware, namely Phanteks RGB controller,

However, Halos Lux Digital also comes with adapter cable, making the proprietary connector to regular 3-pin ARGB connector, that you can connect directly to your MoBo.

if you read the description at teh bottom, it says i should get 1 x motherbard cable but wasnt in with it though.

Yup, it has to have the adapter with it. Contact the store from where you bought it to resolve your issue.

many thanks, i was so confused when i got them. i couldnt find a way at all to connect the halo till you mentioned it.

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately it looks like they no longer include the adapter cable but nobody informed us of this. You can check this on the Phanteks site http://www.phanteks.com/HalosDigital.html but I have copied it below. I will update our listing now. Sorry for the confusion.

In business aspect, it makes sense not to include that MoBo adapter. This gives people more incentive to use compatible Phanteks hardware, increasing Phanteks income. 😆

i have complained as it clearly says it was with it, i should have got it. i will wait for a reply. hopefully they will send one out.

Well, buying it gets it to you faster since i doubt the store would send the adapter (they may not even have them as separate items). Then again, you could threaten them with false-advertising and their claim of: "it looks like they no longer include the adapter cable but nobody informed us of this", doesn't hold much weight, since as a store, they have to keep an eye on of what they are selling.

yeah, that is what i said to them. it clearly says it is included. they have now took that part off the desription, i should have screenshotted it incase they call me a lier.

The adapter i linked, has only one Phanteks connector on it. So, you need to buy as many of those adapters as how many Halos'es you have.

my thinking would be that i can connect 2 halos into 1 port (daisy chain 2 halos together) , that way i dont use too much power on one port.
