Question Connecting ps3 controller to acer

So my acer computer cant recognize the ps3 controller as in it doesnt show its even connected or anything. It has worked before, but I factory resat my computer. Ive tried betterds3 (I think its called) and scp tool kit

Even without an emulator the controller should show up when you plug in the USB. On my machine(s) it variably showed as a playstation controller, a generic controller, and sometimes even xbox controller. After SCP get's finished with it, it ports as an xbox one and showed that way in devices.

I can only imagine you have tried the various usb connections....is everything in device manager in the reset computer have a driver/no yellow triangles?

Yes ive tried 3 different usb ports. No yellow triangles in device manager :/

And in bluetooth it says playstation controller and when i try to connect it says it wants a passcode

I can't recall...isn't there a reset button on a Dualshock? Have you tried that?

Idk what that would help? Theres a select button, the ps logo button and then start button

Something happened. I clicked on add a device, and it says "It didnt work"
