Greetings,

Just a quick question for you guys. When I connect my ssd sata hard drive to my motherboard, does it matter which sata slot I connect it to? Here are my system specs

Case: Corsair Carbide 400C White
Motherboard: Asus Z270-A
CPU: Core i-5 7600k
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1070
PSU: EVGA Supernova G3 750 PSU
CPU Air Cooler: Deepcool Assassin 2
Memory: 16GB (x2 8GB Stick) Corsair Vengence LPX
SSD: Kingston V300 240GB

Thanks for the help

Generally, you want to connect it to the lowest number SATA port.
0 or 1.

The only time it makes a difference is if it is a native Intel port, or other.
But I always connect the boot drive to the lowest, just so that I know where it is.

Okay so I'm guessing I just have to look at my motherboard Manual to see which SATA connection slot I use on my board for my 1 SSD HDD? I have a Asus Z270 Prime-A. So whatever is labeled as the lowest number I use?
