I am planning to have a few friends..maybe like 10-14 people and we plan to play call of duty and what is better? To buy a good router that can support this task or maybe connect two routers (we tried once to connect two 300mbps routers and it was laggy so i prefer to use switches if it possible to connect them and still be able to have local network and play call of duty)or i am thinking to connect two switches because its hard to connect all laptops to 1 switch and is connecting two switches possible for lan party gaming and local network? And how it is done?.... please if it is possible explain to me how to connect them.

Solution
With gigabit switches, you just connect a port on one switch to a port on the other. Then ONLY ONE cable to your router for internet access.
Fast ethernet switches might require a cross-over cable between them. It would depend on the switch, some do, some don't.
