Hi, I was sent here from pcgamer dot com's forum. I have had this problem for 21 days. I cant connect to epic online services consistently, especially in fertnite but now it is affecting rocket league too, my ISP believes epic might have flagged my entire ISP as a VPN(it's a local internet company) and I cant get epic to respond to my support ticket at all. I dont know what else to do until the networking department of epic either helps me or my ISP pinpoints where the problem is. I used to work in IT, I have done every basic troubleshooting step that I can think of, including but not limited to trying on 4 different devices, 3 different accounts, wired directly to ONT(fiber modem), wireless, etc. My ISP has phenomenal support, but they can't seem to figure it out either. Everyone else on the wide area network seems unaffected according to my ISP. 1/2

2/2I have also noticed certain websites sometimes don't load, but when I switch to cellular data they load fine, and hulu and max every time I shut off the system they're on, I have to re sign in the next time I turn it on. I dont know if these symptoms are related, but they are present nonetheless....I'm sure I missed some info, but wanted to get the ball rolling with this post. Also, epic online services or servers are basically AWS, Amazon web services. I contacted their support, and they said contact epic...-John

Some companies are stupid when they think IP bans solve anything.

I could see if it was just epic but when it is affecting things like hulu or max it is less likely some ip ban.

I would first try some common causes. Try to disable IPv6 support and change your DNS to use 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1.

Do you actually get a public IP address assigned to your router or is your ISP running CNAT. Some sites get very upset when they see multiple people sharing a IP. You should actually see the problem more on a mobile connection because almost all mobile connection are using CNAT.

Although a extra added expense you might try a private vpn server. These you rent a small server from some large provider like amazon and run a vpn on it. Its not like companies can take the chance to ban blocks of IP from amazon.

I dont believe I'm banned, because I can eventually connect, its just ungodly slow, and only lasts a few seconds or a minute or two, once I get in a game everythings perfect. I never messed with ipv6 too much, and I think I have it all disabled, and my ISP has tried everything from having me pull an IP from the DHCP, and assigning a fresh static IP, no change. I've tried their local DNS servers, as well as cloudflare and google's, no change. I dont actually know what CNAT means, ill ask them and get back with you. I am skeptical to try a VPN, because they are against epics TOS, and I've read a bunch of people upset that they got banned while using one. I could try it on a fresh account I guess, im willing to try anything at this point, and I appreciate the reply. -John

I dont like to leave threads unanswered, the issue is fixed, it was a 3rd party severed fiber line that my ISP routes some connections to, and I appreciate your responses.
