connection problem with TP Link TL-WR740N using certain computer

My wireless router works just fine with every devices until now.
My new laptop is Lenovo T440.
I can connect just fine using this computer, but after a few minutes the the connection becomes unavailable, even for other devices connecting to this network.
Have any of you had this experience before?

Yes, I had this experience. It was the sign that the WiFi in my notebook was going. Easiest fix is to bypass the internal wifi, and use a USB WiFi adapter.

Worth a try to fix the problem if everything else is working fine.

It could be the tell tale sign that your router has reached the point of replacement!
How old is it? Have you tried resetting the router and rebuilding the network?
Are there any firmware updates that you missed?
Does someone have control over the settings of the router? (they are configurable over the internet)
Short of that.. routers either work or they don't!
