Considering building AMD rig, what are the "best" or "recommended" motherboard brands?

As the title suggests, what are the "best" or "recommended" AMD motherboard brands? I am considering building a cheap WoW/casual rig around the FX-8300. Also what are the "recommended" chipsets for a user like me (i know nothing about the complicated AMD chipsets)?

My requirements are as follows: casual player, play mostly WoW Legion as my only game (80%+ of my gaming time spent in WoW), don't care much for bells and whistles, when not gaming i'll use my PC for office/casual web browsing uses. I personally value reliability as the most important thing, speed not so much. I've been mostly an Intel guy, so I'm most familiar with their chipsets, i haven't touched AMD since 2008 so i've been "out of the loop" regarding their motherboards/chipsets.

If you are sold on going the AMD route, Asus, Gigabyte, Asrock are at the top. Although I've had no issues with other brands either. The 900-series chipsets are the ones currently best for the FX-8xxx's. The 990FX and 990X chipset boards being the best (in that order).

if you absolutely must have AMD then wait for zen, the fx's are basically 4 years old and perform comparatively poorly.

If you insist on building a FX rig, look for a board with 8+2 power phases.

Many 990 boards (but they're pricey)
Gigabyte 970A-UD3P
Gigabyte 970 Gaming SLI
MSI Gaming 970.

As an FX-8320 owner, I would not build a FX system right now. Zen is right around the corner, or an Intel i3 is a solid budget gaming CPU.
