Hi. I study computer science, so I will be using the laptop mostly for that. I live in Norway.
Right now I have an early 2015 MacBook Pro 13". I have been searching around for different pc's and so far I am considering the following:

I will include links for the pc's, but the Lenovo link is in Norwegian, and I dont know if my customizations will show in the link, will therefore write the specs I chose.

Lenovo ThinkPad x1 Extreme (gen 2), with these configs:
  • i7-9750H (6 cores)
  • 16GB (8+8) DDR4 (is 1 memory stick with 16GB better than two * 8gb? can choose between this, 8+8 is $3 more)
  • 512GB SSD (Can choose between one 512GB or two 256GB, two 256GB is like $20 more)
  • 15.6" 1920x1080 IPS, Anti-glare, 500nits
  • NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1650 MAX-Q 4GB
comes out to $2.300

Lenovo ThinkPad x1 Carbon (gen 7), with these configs:
  • i5-8365U (4 cores)
  • 16GB DDR3 onboard
  • 512GB SSD
  • 14" 1920x1080 IPS Anti-glare 400nits
  • Integrated graphics
comes out to $1.900

And finally one of the new MacBook Pro 13":

Not sure about which version of it. As far as I can tell the only difference between the two cheapest ones is just SSD capacity, 256GB vs 512GB, so basically an SSD upgrade is $200 which is kinda overpriced? On the x1 carbon, it is like $120 for the upgrade from 256GB to 512GB.

Im also open for other laptop suggestions, I really like the slick look of the ThinkPads and MacBook. Even though I have been using a MacBook for 5 years, I am just as comfortable on windows too. I do have a stationary gaming pc, so I'm not looking for a gaming laptop.
Any size between 13 to 15" is preferred. I am most comfortable with 512GB of storage. Don't prefer any specific sites, as long as they deliver to Norway. Would like to keep this laptop for at least 5 years. Battery life is not that important, I will probably bring my charger with me everywhere I go.

Thank you for any help, advice or recommendations!

EDIT: Checked the Lenovo links, doesn't seem like the upgrades I choose sticks with the link, see list for the specs I choose.
