I am considering upgrading my cpu to a Ryzen 7 5700x. I love playing cyberpunk but I feel a bit limited in performance so I wanted to ask the community for their honest thoughts on that upgrade.

Ryzen 5 3600

ASUS RTX 3060 12gb OC

ASUS Prime B550m-a

RM650x PSU

16gb DDR4 3200mhz

1TB Samsung EVO SSD (OS location)

250 Samsung evo SSD

I went from a 3600x to a 5900x.

Obvious upgrade. Not double the speed or anything, but it is a clear upgrade. Just for gaming you will see a small increase but prob not as much as you are hoping.

17-20% better single core and 30%+ multi core performance. Make sure BIOS is last version.

Depends on what resolution you play at as to whether it's worth it.

Yea I decided after some consideration to actually bump it up to a 5800x3D instead. The cache size is significantly larger.
