I got this PC 2 months ago and everything was good but around 1 month ago i started getting connection issues with my ISP (Virgin Media). They sent an engineer out and got that fixed but ever since then i have still experienced lag issues while gaming, most notably on EA FC 25. I had another Virgin engineer come out and change my router and still not fixed this.

They also got their network department to monitor my connection for 3 day and they couldnt find any issues. The lag i experience in EA FC 25 doesn't appear straight away, after i play 3-4 games i get stutters and completely lose control of the player i am using for atleast 1-2 seconds. My ping is always around 20-30 and i have no packet loss while gaming.

When i Hotspot my phone and connect to it via my PC all my lag issued go away but my ping gets slightly higher which is expected. This happens while plugged in via Ethernet cable and wireless to my router.

I have tried multiple things to fix this:
  • Factory reset of router
  • Turn off hub firewall
  • Disabling Windows auto-tuning level

While all this is happening i also get lag in Discord, my connection bar goes from 4 green to 2 red bars and jumps up and down for a bit then goes back to normal.

BQM of the last 12 hours (was gaming between 8pm-1am)

Any help would be much appreciated as i'm pulling my hair out because its getting really annoying trying to play games and having to connect to my phone instead of my broadband.
