Question constant BSODs after cloning M2 drive

i am currently upgrading from a stock 512gb M2 to a 2tb WD_Black M2. i formatted & cloned my files twice before and just keeps getting BSOD everytime i do anything on windows with the new hard drive. i used Macrium.

if you're able to open up Command Prompt, try running sfc /scannow

wait for it to run, and reboot the pc, hope this will help.

also, please tell me what error code does the BSOD screen give? it should be at the bottom, take note of it quickly and edit your post to include it. a dump file would also help 🙂

EDIT: Also try using DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth in a Command Prompt window as well.

The message ive been getting is “DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION”

that's prolly a problem with outdated drivers/software that is interfering. did you update all the drivers of your PC?

EDIT: specially with the SATA controllers.
run the commands given in the first post and see if it helps. they could take some time to run.
