Question Constant FPS drops out of nowhere

I am experiencing an absurd amount of lost frames when playing fortnite and apex to where im getting around 60-70 when i used to get a constant 144. IM unsure of where the problem is coming from because i havent had this problem until about a few weeks ago. My drivers are up to date (for what i know of, im new to PCs) and vsync is off.

My hardware is:
i9-9900k
GeForce RTX 2070 8GB
32GB DDR4 RAM
1TB WD Blue SSD

Load my CPU is at 39 GPU is at 53
Idle my CPU is 34 and GPU is 42

What load and what cooling setup do you have? 39c under load on a 9900k seems unlikely.

When under load what is the cpu speed (GHz)? What motherboard do you have?
