constant performance issues

Ive been struggling to gain a constant of 60fps in games such as GTA and CSGO, but know that my computer can run these games, as sometimes they run at a smooth 60fps. Is there any reasons why im losing frames sometimes but not others, and is there anything i can do to stop this from happening?

yeah thats why its kinda annoying, been doing updates, anti malware, closed all the shit i dont need in start up, checked temperatures and even opened up my pc and cleaned all the insides.

Try to turn off Skype and Google Chrome while gaming. Thats all i can see that is causing trouble for gaming

the only thing i open when gaming is skype to talk to my friends in game, surely i should be able to run games fine with my specs and only skype open.

on csgo it drops from 300 to around 100-150 and is unplayable, with all the settings on low with a very low resolution of like 1280x920.
GTA drops from 60fps to around 30-40 fps and is barely playable, but not enjoyable at all.
I never lose frames on league of legends for some reason aswell which is odd all settings on high.

Ok, I searched around a bit and i found out that AMD has been having trouble with GTA (and most other games) from time to time. Did you update the drivers before the problem occured? And when did the problem occur?

yeah i researched about it also, my brother also told me that there was an update for GTA specifically for AMD users and i done that update, my brother has a worse card than me (AMD HD 7800 series) and can run GTA perfectly fine with all high settings and at a constant fps, after this update.

Did you overclock? If so, check your temperature while gaming. If you haven't, check it aswell, and if its high, get some fans (not fans like people, but a component for your PC 😀 )

yeah ive overclocked from around 1050ghz to 1100ghz on my core clock, i have dual fans on the side of my case aswell.

alls i know is that it goes a little bit louder, and tabbing in and out can restore the smooth fps for a short period of time before it goes back to lagging.

Try checking your power state from the control panel and make sure it's on performance instead of balance or power saving
