Only when I am running games do I run into this problem, or I just dont notice it when im not playing games. I get massive network lag for about 5 seconds then it goes away again for another 10 minutes. Not sure how to fix this. My ISP has checked and the router/modem is completely fine, new ethernet cord, even brand new motherboard and drivers are all up to date.

How exact is that "10 minute" pattern?

Look in Task Manager, Resource Monitor, Task Scheduler, and Process Explorer for any unexpected or unknown processes running in the background.

Especially any that only appear when a game is launched or 10 minutes or so thereafter.

Process Explorer (Microsoft, free).

Use only one tool at a time and look for the 10 minute pattern and the 5 second lag.

Doing so will take some time and effort. No need to rush.

Key is to identify potential causes for the lag. Then look for solutions.

Do not immediately start deleting or changing things.
