Used to be on a GTX 650 and had no problems.

My current card is a GTX 960 (4GB), and no matter what I do, anything I run in full screen has tearing. This has been a problem for months and nothing I do fixes it. Tried the computer with 3 different monitors and the problem remains.

I've tried various types of vsync with triple buffering on - nothing. Drivers are up to date etc. Every monitor I've tried is set to 60Hz

For the most part I manage by running games in borderless windows, but it causes problems with some games, especially older ones or running emulators.

I've tried dozens of fixes and spent countless hours searching and watching YouTube videos and nothing fixes it.

Other specs:

i7 4790 CPU
16GB RAM

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated

Solution
What framerates are you getting? Screen tearing can occur at framerates higher than your refresh rate, which is why it can be useful to limit framerates.
Well this is strange. Ran some games fullscreen with FRAPS to check they were running at 60fps/60Hz and they're all running fine now, no tearing at all. Even the emulators are behaving
