No , we are correct, Apple users cannot read. Apple user: SAMSUNG spells APPLE.

What a poor example .....lol, they teach children to spell APPLE in pre school 🙂

@Flinstone239990

Only if you run outta internet connection to the cloud ,and are on a schedule .....

[citation][nom]HotRoderx[/nom] I am starting to wonder if the average apple consumer can read.... Since they seem to have issues with reading Logo's[/citation]
Haven't you seen the South Park episode, the humancentiPad, clearly they cannot read, which is why there is a lot of Apple fanatics who cannot understand things called facts (not all of them though, I know a few Apple fans who like them for reasons that make sense despite their pricing).

"It's "basically a netbook with a Web-based OS on it. Why not just buy an Android device and actually be able to use plenty of apps?" The laptop is "basically a netbook with a Web-based OS on it. Why not just buy an Android device and actually be able to use plenty of apps?"

The amount of mistakes I find on this site is ridiculous... Tom should hire people with at least a high school diploma.

People that don't use Google software just don't get it. Google is designing a new mobile way of working, and it's brilliant. It's all based on Linux, so the infrastructure is there, and apps already exist. They're not reinventing the wheel here, thy're taking something that's already proven, and improving it to work in a new mobile sort of way. The devices are literally disposable. I can smash my computer on the ground right now, and walk over and log in on another, and I am right where I left off. Literally at the last word I wrote in a Google Doc document. There is no down time, and if someone swipes my machine, I loose nothing, and they cant get in to my account. They're so affordable, that I just get a new one. In fact we are going to actually destroy one for a video demonstration of how amazing this portable environment is. In fact we can jump right on a PC and pickup where we left off as well. It's got 3G and wifi so I dont worry about not havving access to internet, not to mention I've been using it years and yet to come across a problem not being able to get documents. I can grab any of my files from anywhere on my Android phone if I need to, or even log in to my Chromebook from my phone and remote control it, and this is all right on the surface and seamless. It's simple and lightweight, and cost less then most tablets. I image Chrome OS Tablets are on the way as well, and it will be even better. If you're heavily invested in another OS, then it might sense for you, but someone of switched to Linux a long time ago, and have saved tons of money in doing so. I just set up a young girl who got a scholarship for college, but her family is very poor. You should have seen the smile on the families face when I showed them what she could do with a Chromebook. There is just nothing in the price range that can do as much as a Chromebook, as easy as a Chromebook. People really need to actually get their hands on one before they assume what they can do, because the they are very powerful, easy, and efficient. We sell iOS, Android, and PC devices. I've just haven't seen anything this cool in a long time.

I have an Acer Aspire AO722 and I love it. Portable and I get about 4-6 hours of usable battery, even a year after I bought it, and the AMD C-60 is a fast little chip for a low-powered one. I have Lubuntu and Windows 7 Ultimate running on it, and it does everything I need and then some, including some lightweight gaming and HD video playback. Mine also has a serious design flaw though: no intake vent. So my little low-power chip is also a toasty little chip (still within AMD's thermal spec... barely).

Though I don't like Windows 8 so far, I think it can bring some interesting hardware. I already have a script on Linux that rotates the screen and trackpad orientation 90 degrees and it makes an awesome e-book reader. Now, if it were touchscreen it would be the ultimate portable computing device.

I have a Toshiba NB-205 where the wifi has never worked. It got 2gb ram upgrade and an SSD and windows 7 ultimate 🙂. I use it as a $349 GPS where garmin charged $1100 for their 9 inch GPS they made years ago.

But that is about all I use it for.
