Question Contact cleaner on motherboards?

Has anyone ever tried using any contact cleaner like the WD40 Contact Cleaner on a motherboard that is powered on or while the computer is running?

I couldn’t find any information about it. I like to know if I could use the cleaner while the pc is running.

why would the system need to be running while being cleaned?
and what exactly on the motherboard needs cleaning?
