Hello,

The recent discovery of contact spray, for me, has lead to me asking this question. Is contact spray a safe and effective solution for cleaning out dust off my GPU, Motherboard etc inside the case. If not which is a really good technique of getting rid of dust in my computer except for compressed air.

Thanks :)

*contact spray is a liquid in a can, sprays out like a liquid, then instantly evaporates on contact of a object

Solution
If it's similar to trichloroethylene then its like a circuit board/egde connector/electrical contact cleaner my friend used to use in his TV repair shop, it's pretty good stuff but be wary of using it around plastic parts if its similar to what I mentioned.

it doesnt tell me whats exactly inside, it only tells me non conductive, non flammable, non corrosive and non toxic.

In that case its better to refrain from it.

Thanks All! I'd better not use it! Also, Yonose im trying to use alternate solutions, Air compressor a lot of work to get this heavy PC and get the air compressor hooked up (not to mention my air compressor is weak) and air in a can is like $13 over here in Australia

I will agree that air compressed is a hell of a price, but it will last long, since you dont need to clean your computer that often as many people says.
Like.. 3 months without cleaning the GPU and that stuff, wont effect the performance. But you should of course just dust filters, which you dont need any cleaners to.
