Question What can I connect to the controller board ?

I am looking to build a DM screen (for TTRPG's) with an old laptop screen built in. I understand I will need a controller board to connect my laptop to the screen, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of information about what else I could connect to said board, or what the options are. For instance, can I take the speakers and sub from the old laptop and connect them to the controller as well? Or connect some LED lights maybe? I plan on connecting with an hdmi cable. I've built a couple PC's, but I'm otherwise brand new to this kind of project so any input is appreciated.

If you mean the capabilities of that specific board. Naming which raspberry pi unit you have and the board you are adding would be helpful.

Raspberry Pi is a development and hobby solution. Pretty much anything you can think of can be connected. Though you may have to make your own circuits and write your own software. If you are wanting off the shelf solutions, you will need to search around for different add-ons and software packages, probably in a more raspberry pi oriented site or forum.
