I have a controller that i bought from a store, it says it works for ps2/ps3/PC but when i plug it on my pc the joy sticks and the buttons are mapped to ←↑→↓ and ⬜ △ ◯ ✖ Any fix for this?

Solution
Okay.

Look for controllers as physically identical as possible to your controller. Your controller may actually made by some other company but just "branded" (labeled) with another name and logo.

Colors may be changed etc..

However the drivers for the original controller model may work with your branded "clone".

Or, if not fully compatible, you may be able change/reconfigure the mouse buttons so they work as you require.

Does take some time and effort to work through it all. Especially if the controller you purchased was deliberately modified for some proprietary purchase. "Compatible" only because the plug fits....

You may need to look into options such as presented in the following link...
What make and model controller?

Was there any software with the controller or any instructions to download drivers or configuration software?

There should be some button to function mapping software that allows you to configure the controller as needed.

Windows 10? If so do not forget to take a look at the Gaming functions and options:

"WIN" + "I" > Gaming.

Not so much for mapping buttons per se but you should take a look at the configurations in place.

And "it works" tends to be applied in the broadest and most generally sense of the phrase.

Does not mean that the controller will fully work as necessary within any given game configuration.

Nothing no instructions just a controler the brand is powertech
greek company

Google "Powertech game controller" and then move to "images".

Find your particular controller and see if you can find any additional information or documentation regarding the controller you have. Or a controller that seems to match.

I noted that one site simply said that they provided no drivers....

https://support.powera.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001091303-Where-Do-I-Find-the-PC-Drivers-For-My-Controller-

However, they offered some suggestions that may prove helpful to you.

Otherwise all you can do is try the drivers from similar products and hope that your controller is identical enough to work or be re-configured so the buttons can work as needed via the software.

Key is how "real" with respect to ps2 and ps3 is the controller that you purchased.
