hello everyone ,

i need some help , im about to buy a 144hz monitor ( benq XL2411 ) wich have D-sub + DVI-DL + HDMIx1 , so i need a DVI-D dual link cable to be able to use the monitor to its full potential , but i have a DVI-I dual link cable ( ps : my graphics card doesnt have DVI-I only dvi-d ) , is it possible that i remove the 4 pins to make it a dvi-d ? and using 2 adapters ( DVI-D to DVI-i ) will solve the problem ? or will it only work when i use a DVI-D dual link cable ?

thank you .

Solution
I don't know if a DVI-I cable will work. USUALLY, the plugs used are DVI-I even if the four analog pins are not connected. But without looking at the plugs, there is no way to know.
