[SOLVED] Cooler for AMD Ryzen 5 2600

Looking for suggestions on a decent air or AIO cooler for a recently built AMD R5 2600 set up.

The Antec Kuhler that I bought had a radiator that was too big for the case at 285mm long (max allowance seems to be 277mm) so I have been using the stock cooler for now but want to play about with overclocking the CPU.

It's on a MSI B450 Tomahawk board with 16GB HyperX Predator 3200 RAM and a GTX1060 GPU (if that matters).

Seems that each cooler I look at gets medicore reviews. Budget is around £80 and would be nice to have RGB but not a show stopper.

For 80 pounds maybe a good Noctua or higher end Coolermaster air cooler is the way to go. You're not getting super great overclocking with the B450 and Ryzen anyway.

I had been looking at the CoolerMaster Masterair 620P or the Masterliquid ML240L but both got medicore reviews. Albeit these were all tested on i7 set-ups and I am only using a measly 2600. I hope to get it up to about 4/4.1GHz - doable?

I highly recommend Noctua 12S with AM4 hardware. I upgraded from the stock cooler on my 2700X, and love it. Quieter AND better cooling. If you can get past the looks...

The H100x is only 275mm long so looking at your measurements should it fit into your case if you still like watercooling.
The Hyper 212 BE seems to do very good for it's price,there's also an rgb version,but that one has a different fan so might well perform different as well.

I use the DEEPCOOL assassin II. it's great for overclocking. highly recommend it. (it gives you about a 4cm clearance for ram)
