Question cooler master hyper 212 black edition rgb not working

hi i have recently bought the cooler master hyper 212 rgb black edition and the fan itself works perfectly fine but there is no rgb. I don't have a header on my mobo (maximus VI formula) so i connected the header to the controller which i then connected to my power supply via a molex to sata adapter. There is no rgb and I have no idea how to fix it. Please help

Do you have a link or name for the adapter you used? I'm having an issue with my Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition. I have no rgb headers on my Motherboard and I can't figure out how to power the rgb. I bought an adapter but it didn't work, it wouldn't even let my PC boot if I had the adapter plugged in. I don't know what adapter I'm supposed to be looking for.
