I am about to purchase the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo cooler for my computer. I already have the stock cooler installed, since the temperature went high i am opting out for another cooler. The question is how these stock and cooler master are different. I notice that the stock cooler is an exhaust type ( it takes the air out of the heatsink ). But the Cooler Master TX3 is intake type ( It pushes air towards the heatsink ). I just wanted to know the cooling efficiency of both. Is it okay to keep intake type cooling fan in the processor. Kindly help me out in this and correct me if I am wrong.

My Room Temperature is around 35 deg Celsius and the normal temperature of the CPU with Stock Fan is 55 deg Celsius. How the Cooler Master Temperature will be ?

Thanks and Regards in Advance

The TX3 is a good cheap model.
Don't go cheaper though otherwise what I will say below won't be true anymore.

Aftermarket coolers are more efficient keeping your CPU cooler and much quieter.
If you don't overclock, I would still recommend to get one in the 20$-30$ range (TX3 or EVO 212).

It is hard to predict what your temps will end up to be, especially because your room temp is damn hot and you can tune fan profiles in your BIOS to go with something quieter but that will run hotter or the opposite.
Bottom line it will be an improvement for a very modest investment.

Thanks for your Reply. Since my place itself is noisy with cars and bikes I will not find any noise with the fans even at higher RPMs. But the question is will I get a better cooling experience with the Cooler Master or Will I get a temperature drop of atleast 5 degrees.

Thank You once again

Yes I would say even more than that but I have no experience of such a warm environment.
Go also to your BIOS and change your CPU fan profile to performance or whatever is opposed to silent.
Your fan will run at higher speed even at low temps increasing the cooling.

Also it depends on your budget.
If you are willing to invest more you do have more efficient coolers designed originally for overclocking like the Noctua NH-D14 or NH-D15.

The tx 3 is decent for a budget cooler.
I've used a zalman cnps5x for the last couple if builds I've done (can be found for around the same price) - its a superb performer IMO - been very very impressed with it on fx 6 & 8 core chips - 55c on a fx6300 at 4.2ghz under stress testing is not to he sniffed at.

Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo:
loudness at 100%/70%/50% rpm:
2,7/1,2/0,3 Sone
38,2/30,6/21,8 dB(A)

Intel boxed cooler:
loudness at 100%/70%/50% rpm:
0,9/0,3/0,2 Sone
28,1/21,5/19,1 dB(A)

These Intel boxed cooler aren´t terrible noise sources at all. I myself use one with a i5 2400.
hotter yes, but not louder

My TX3 will never reached 50% max rpm most likely sits in the 900-1000 RPM range (around 30% max rpm).
While Intel stock fan could easily go above 2000 RPM under heavy stress because it runs hotter and hence louder.
But trust whatever you want.

2000? never saw that on my 95W CPU and here it is a 65W CPU to cool down.

I think you mean a AMD boxed cooler.

The Intel boxed coolers on low/middle end CPUs aren´t as bad as you think.

Just saying that a 3rd party cooler in this system won´t decrease noise level.

Thanks for so many replies everyone. But I think I did not get any solution for my question. I am really confused and I am on a tight budget. I can't afford the Hyper 212 Evo. How will this cooler master tx3 work. Do I need to place any extra cabinet fans to cool the CPU better in addition to the cooler master cooler. Kindly Clear my Doubts.

Thank and Regards everyone

The TX3 will improve your temp, it is impossible to tell you exactly a number because it will depend on your room temp, case airflow and cpu fan profile.
If the TX3 is the only one you can afford, go for it, you won't regret it.
Don't go cheaper though, below that threshold cheaper aftermarket coolers don't make much of a difference.

The TX3 will come with one fan and thermal paste.
It is enough but you could add a second one later to improve cooling efficiency.
Also the TX3 can be mounted very easily, you won't even have to remove your mobo.

Thank You once again for clarifying my doubts. I really can't afford the noctua coolers since they are extremely priced and I am not an overclocker though. I get temps above 70 degs with stock cooler while rendering the videos in Sony Vegas Pro and Adobe After Effects. I just wanted a cooler which reduces this 70degs to atleast 60 degs. Do you think that the cooler master will perform as I expect.

Thank You

Where are you based/buying from??
What's your max budget??
I reckon there are viable alternatives available??
Personally don't think the tx3 is THAT much of an improvement over stock.

BTW - have you messed with the Intel cooler?? - it should be blowing into the heatsink down onto the motherboard & components - if its exhausting away from the heatsink then the fan is fitted the wrong way round!!

It is fitter as the exhausting. check this pic

.
BTW this is not my motherboard or the cabinet fan. I just took this from the internet to show the way that the cooler is installed.
