[SOLVED] Cooler Master MB500 + Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo clearance?

Hello, everyone!

Just a couple of questions before I order my new machine (9700k + 2070 Super + Z390 Aorus Pro).

I opted for a CM MB500 case, which has a CPU Cooler clearance of 163mm.
My cooler will be an Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo (gray one, a beauty!), which has a height of 157mm (158.8mm, according to info on this website).

So, how is this measured? How 'tall' could a mobo at the socket be?
If it's over 4.2 to 6mm tall, I probably won't be able to close my case when I set the cooler, will I?

Then again, I saw some YouTube videos where they fitted a 165mm high cooler in the same, closed case (just TUF edition, but with the same cooler clearance).

Any ideas or personal experience to share?

I have CM M500 with noctua NH D15 wich is a monster aircooler and it fits. Not sure but i think its 165mm and becouse of the ram the front fan is a litle higher so its probebly closer to 170mm. Tight fit but it works

Thank you for answering! It says in the specs of your cooler:
Height (without fan) - 160 mm

So if that fits in this case, even with the front fan moved closer to the side panel, then I shouldn't have any problems with the Freezer 34.
Also, I believe I will not have to raise the cooler since I'll have two DIMMs (set in the 2nd and 4th slots, away from the cooler) and judging by some YT videos - it doesn't have to be raised next to this RAM configuration.

What i can see is that you should have no problem. I see your is 124x103x157mm and D15 is 165x150x161mm. Dont think you will have problems with the ram touching fans. I only wrote it to show that my cooler is probebly taller then its box stats.
