Hello everyone. I wanna buy standard versions of GTX560 or GTX660 depending on my budget.

My PSU Specs are
, and it comes with a single 1x6 PCIe connector.

Running a GTX560 adapting one more PCIe connector to output 150W is too dangerous than running a GTX660 with the
single PCIe connector that the PSU brings by default?

First let me remind you about both cards specs

GTX560

Max TDP 150W
2x6 PCIe connecors
24A on the +12V rail required
450W PSU required

GTX 660
Max TDP 140W
1x6 PCIe connectors.
24A on the +12V rail required
450W PSU required

We can see that the only difference between the cards are
  1. GTX560 requires 6x2 PCIe and another requires 6x1 PCIe connector
  2. Difference of each other TPD is 10W
  3. I know that 400W of PSU isn't recommended from the manufacturers but,
If i try to run a GTX560
Adapting one more PCIe connector and run it?

If i try to run a GTX660
Only requires 1x6 connector and is it fine?

My Rig is not massive, is super simple

a) PSU Cooler Master RS400 w/ dual +12V rail - 16A on each and 276W total on the +12V rail,
b) 2 HDDs, 4GB RAM 1333, Core 2 Quad Q9550 (95W),
c) 1366x768 LCD Monitor or an LCD TV compatible with 1920x1080 in the living room
d) 5.1 Philips Sound System
e) Mouse and Keyboard
f) I clean my PC every months so no noise or something else. Its just a quiet kid,
g) and I won't play all the recent games on FullHD, as long as the experience 33FPS is good, I prefer HD 1366x768, for me, no problem.

Thanks guys.
