I'm building a new workstation and I need to select a PSU. The only good ones I can get are these two:

Cooler Master V700
CM Silent Pro M II 720W

Both seem pretty good, price difference isn't much and I can't seem to find out which one is better and why? I also need my rig to be quite, but I have no idea if slient pro M2 is THAT much silent than V700.

What do you think which one seems better build and has better specs ?

Hello spiritfly,

I would suggest the V700. The V-Series power supplies are the newest series that we have released. As stated above the V-series has an 80+ Gold rating where the Silent Pro M2 has an 80+ bronze rating. The V-Series is also fully modular where the Silent Pro M2 is semi-modular.

Take a look at this review if you have a chance

Thanks for the fast reply guys, I will definitely go with the V700 then. I was only concerned whether it would satisfy my components:

i7-4770k
Gigabyte Z87X-D3H
2 x 8 GB Kingston HyperX Beast 2133MHz
Saphire HD 7870
Samsung SSD
2 x 1TB Green WD

Maybe liquid cooling for the CPU

and about 5 fans and some LED from a CM Cosmos SE

Do you think a CM V700 will hold well for this configuration?

Hi Spiritfly,

Yes the V700 will be plenty of power for you system.

For water cooling I would suggest looking at either our Eisberg 240L or our Glacer 240L.
